women & transgender
attraction
There's a growing number of women finding themselves in relationships with transgendered females. However, women attracted to transgenders are usually classified differently than their beginner male counterparts.
Why's that?
Answer me this: Can you think of any man that would remain committed to his female partner after she decided to cut-off her breasts, close-up her vagina, construct a penis from borrowed tissue - and consume enough testosterone to become a hairy-bodied male?
Me either.
Alas, what I just described are some basic milestones amongst FTM's (female-to-male transsexuals). Amazingly? With this same process reversed in the case of MTF's (male-to-female transsexuals)...there's been a lot of women stay with the partner they came to know & love before transition.
Herein lies the basis for primary differences between beginning male & female admirers. Women are more likely to establish a relationship based upon additional facets of the attraction process versus sheer sexual desire. For beginning & most intermediate male admirers, the primary draw to transgenders is about sex: in one form or another. For women & advanced male admirer's the allure runs much deeper. It's rooted in the heart & mentality created by a combination of genders. To be sure: sexual attraction is part of this process. However, it's rarely the root motivation. Make sense?
Alas, while the basis for a genetic female's draw to a transgender begins on a deeper rooted level than their male counterparts, inexperience is still...inexperience. I'll explore the unique aspects to these relationships in another section of this revised context.
Here?
We're exploring the core types of female admirers.
love before transition - the committed spouse
More than one woman - married or otherwise - survived the trials & tribulations of a gender transition and remained faithful to a life-long love. It's not common: but it does happen.
Women of this sort are usually totally connected to the spirit before them from the onset. They're also extremely courageous as the social aspects of a partner transitioning is not for the weak-hearted. Some harbor a strong bond to their partner's more feminine approach to life & loving and thus, can more readily fathom their need to change genders.
These women are rare in our community. Additionally: they're my biggest heroes.
lesbianism - without a vagina
Perhaps the largest group of women drawn to transgenders are
those that always possessed a natural attraction towards women - their breasts,
smooth curvaceous bodies, their soft skin & silky faces...however - they were
just never totally comfortable with whole vagina-thing.

These women are often the ideal match for certain transgenders: particularly with non-operative transsexuals. Females of this sort often have a history of challenging issues in relationships with genetic males. Namely, these men are usually intimidated by their aggressive approach to life & loving. A relationship with a transgender creates a more balanced mixture of roles.
Prototypically, the genetic female is more masculine when it comes to love than her transgender counterpart. She's almost always the alpha-female in this household. However, as with any healthy union - she needs to trade-off her dominant role on occasion. A transgendered-female is often uniquely suited to take charge in certain aspects when the time is right.
A lot of women in this situation never realized a transgender might be an ideal match until they encountered one. They've just always known they could never find a man that could deal with their steely approach to life & living...and that they just couldn't bring themselves to pursue another genetic female.
younger women
Women born in the early to mid-1980's & beyond are the most likely to embrace the concept of a transgender partner. These women were raised during the second sexual revolution - that of much clearer acceptance of gay / lesbian & bisexual leanings. Their sense of related social stigmas is less likely than their older counterparts.
Don't ask me why but the best unions I've witnessed in this category were where the female was a few years older than her transgender counterpart. When the tranz-woman is senior? Something about the female-female bond often erodes.
the erotic goddess
While men are notoriously first attracted to transgenders on a purely erotic level - only reaching a deeper sense of the union later in their evolution - women tend to first bond based upon a connection: eroticism second. Alas, there's exceptions to every rule.
There's more than one mature woman with a heightened sexual drive that's comparable to men. These same women tend to possess a stronger sense of comfort with their sexuality & feminism. Thus, they're more likely to be willing to explore a union with a tranz-female on a nearly pure sexual plane: relishing all the unique features.
the true lesbian
More & more women identifying as lesbian are ending up in relationships with transgendered women. They usually match best with transsexuals that also identify as a gay female - and that are completely finished with transition. These women are most drawn to the very essence of the female-female union. Thus, a neo-vagina is not as essential as a person whose decidedly all female at heart.
Most of these women don't do well with tranz-girls that aren't 100% finished with transition beyond a purely sexual encounter. That remaining male air - and similarly reminiscent approaches to life & living - almost invariably create substantial rifts in a prototypical lesbian relationship.
which one are you?
I hate categorizing people. Alas, the world forever insisted upon labeling me & I never appreciated it. Many of you might associate yourself with more than one of these classifications. Only you, know what you really feel - so lying about those desires to yourself - will cost you dearly in the loving department in the future.
I'll add a new set of sections in the relationship portion of this text in the near future that explores aspects of how to make these bonds work most effectively.
