"How to Apply Make Up"

the perfect video awards

I offer a great deal of my own "opinions" - when it comes to issues relating to alternative gender activities and manifestations. However, this time...I put my money and resources - before my "big mouth".

Due to the vital importance of making the "right" recommendations in this category - I enlisted the help of a team of "experts". This panel included "everyone" - from neophyte crossdressers and beautiful women - to a senior executive at a major cosmetic manufacturer and a judge for the prestigious "Miss Continental" DRAG pageant.

We independently purchased and reviewed thirty-two different video-based "make up tips" products. We found the perfect "two" - just for you.

Simply stated - you have to buy these two video's.

They're affordable. They're excellent. In tandem - they cover every trick essential to looking "fabulous" - in male-to-female transformation.

Note: As with all my recommendations - I receive no financial benefit from these sources. These - are what I feel are the very best products for you.

the "perfect" video award winners

These - are the best video's to teach you how to transform from male to female...period!

I tried to draft a comprehensive " guide" for the application of "make up" for t-girls. Guess what "happened"? I offered my first draft to a pair of beginners - in order to evaluate "what I missed" - in my script.

"The results?" Disastrous.

I subsequently arrived at a very important conclusion.

Unless you're a naturally born Picasso - you can't become skilled at make-up "from a book". Proper make up application requires so many minor details. There's always a unique hand & wrist "movements" - you need to see in action - to achieve success.

A training video - does just "that".

Grae Phillips - This highly comprehensive site includes detailed mpeg files showing you how to accomplish many important transformation tasks. Grae offers a wide range of DVD's for just about everything you'll need to transform into the woman of your dreams. You can download most information directt from her site or request your info via mail.

Great site - by a great Queen!

First rate!

Transformations - Make Up & Hair

Austin Texas-based "Jon Davis" created the most professional designed and "exacting" male-to-female transformation we discovered. He assumes you know almost nothing "from the start" - and subsequently teaches you how to achieve a convincing "look" from the onset.

His video includes details most suited to "passing". However, it's fundamental truths - are just "that" - they'll prove successful in any quorum.

the problem with beauty "tips"

Why am I so very adamant you start with video teaching versus books & tips?

Imagine you want to travel to California - and you're "starting" in St. Louis. Now picture that you begin "this" journey with your car is pointed in the wrong "direction". Guess what happens next? The more turns you make - the worse off you "get".

This - is exactly what happens to most beginners. They read or study basic make up information. It's not perfect - but it's a "start". They subsequently start making all sorts of "turns" - based upon suggestions and tips they discover from friends and other resources. They buy a ton of transformation supply...usually wrong - and none of which is "cheap".

Eventually - their look is buried in "average". Why? They never learned how to "do it right" - from the onset. I made this "mistake" - and so did many of my friends. Buy the video's and learn how to do it right from the beginning.

additional information - retail

Once you've received these video's - and learned "the basics" - now is the time to study some additional "tips". You'll find the most basic tips in "teen girl" magazines. They are just learning how to look like "women" as well. Also, bookstores carry a lot of excellent material on this subject. Check the health and beauty sections.

My two favorite books on this subject are Kevin Aucoin's books "Making Faces" & "Face Forward".

Making FacesFace Forward

Kevin Aucoin is the hot ticket right now in matters of "transforming" both  women and men via artistic make up. These books - which are loaded with example photos - provide an ideal resource for new and creative ideas in expanding your look. The links provided will allow you to order these fine resources from Amazon.com. However, most bookstores carry them as well.

You might also want to purchase the Art of Illusion - A Guide to Crossdressing - Vol I. Both can be purchased at Amazon.com.

The Lazy Crossdresser - A straight forward and helpful book for solving many problems of beginners. However, there's good info for anyone. I found a couple of unique jewels in this publication.

the best transformation "tips" web sites

Following are what I consider the best transformation "tips" sites available on-line. Again, please get the recommended video's "first". It'll save you a load of wasted time & money.

I'd suggest you set up a "transformation binder" - print all the data found at web pages. Try categorizing informative treasures with tab "separators" - so you can utilize it in a most efficient format. For instance, separate eyes, wigs, foundation & beard cover, etc. - whatever seems appropriate to you. If some sections overlap - include duplicate copies of information so that each section of your binder remains fully comprehensive.

A common mistake beginners make is assimilating too much information - and thus - become "overwhelmed" when they start applying make up. There are three tools I've found which are more than adequate data for the beginning girl. I don't feel you will need one additional scrap of paper if these are in your make up chest.

Cindy's Oasis - Unfortunately Cindy has moved both her site and herself to the Northern regions and neither can be found. However, Jacqui was smart enough to include Cindy's information in her tips area at T-Girls.net. It's good stuff - and you'll get a lot of great ideas from it. Go to the "features" section - and scroll down to the "back to school" area.

Draag.com - This site and the tips they provide are first rate for the beginner. I doubt you'll find a better assimilation of wonderful ideas anywhere. I haven't had a makeover in years as I'm pretty picky about my "look" - - but even I'd trust this gal with my mug.

Although you must pay a small annual membership fee to access the Transgender Forum, I feel it is often overlooked as an awesome resource for great "tips". I rarely have time to visit and review the weekly updates. However, the site includes a search engine where you can find tips on particular challenges you are "facing". *Smile*

I'm sure you have other sites you find helpful - but these include the methods most similar to my own - and I think their detail in presentation is first rate.
