We're taking a break from another episode of monthly fashion-tips to honor that most beloved annual gathering of tranz-people: known as SCC.

Situated at a new hotel in 2007, this conference took on a whole new personality. It was far-less like some oversized DRAG show...and more akin to a classy fashion statement. With the awesome presence of the first-ever career expo, there was a lot less victim mentality...and a whole bunch of renewed faith. And even though I felt that the average age of attendees seemed noticeably younger, there were less "girls"...and a lot more women.

In other words?

The transgender community is growing-up. That includes: yours truly.

All this brings me to my September photo-of-the-month selection.

Guess what?

This unplanned rendition of Snow White was snapped for posterity by my sweet roomie's I-phone before the actual culmination of SCC: the traditional partying & festivities following Saturday night's formal dinner. Can this be true? Renee Reyes asleep in her bed on Saturday night before the stroke of midnight at the world's largest gathering of transgenders?

Yep! I didn't even have the energy to remove my make-up or jewels prior to going dormant.

These times...they are a most certainly a changin'.

Guess what else?

That...is a very good thing.  *Smile*
